Victorian Development Program

The Victorian Coach and Athlete Pathway provides a comprehensive suite of development squads and programs to cater for both the up and coming athlete as well as for the established elite swimmer along with developing coaches and support staff networks.  Development Squad members benefit from increased support systems, education and race exposure.  Selection to these squads is through consideration of performances over the preceding season, based on a series of criteria, qualifying times and standards. The Victorian Institute of Sport (VIS) is the highest point of the Pathway and is a vital link for Victorian swimmers gaining selection onto and consolidating their position within the Naional Team.
