Australian Unity GO Club PB CASE STUDY: Some Victorian GOLD Standard Clubs
The Australian Unity GO Club PB has been running successfully in Victoria over the past couple of years with an increase of over 10% of participating clubs.
Established in 2007 in conjunction with the launch of sponsor Australian Unity, Swimming Australia introduced two new ongoing club level awards.
The sponsorship arrangement between Australian Unity and Swimming Australia provides support to the sport of swimming at a number of levels, including swimming clubs.
Australian Unity’s investment sponsors two awards at the annual Telstra Swimmer of the Year Awards. Both the Australian Unity Club of the Year Award and the Australia Unity Club Leadership Award bring further recognition and funding to the important work that goes on at a club level.
The 2010 Australian Unity Club of the Year Award will be awarded to the club with the highest overall points achieved from the 2010 Australian Unity GO CLUB PB workbook.
Award: The winning club will receive a Trophy and $5,000. In addition, the winning club and two finalist clubs receive travel and tickets for two to attend the Swimmer of the Year Awards in October 2010.

A big thank you also to all clubs who submitted their GO CLUB PB workbook throughout the year.
All clubs who submit their Australian Unity GO CLUB PB Workbook, prior to 30 June 2010, are automatically entered into this award for 2010. No need to apply.
The 2010 Australian Unity Leadership Award is for the Telstra Dolphin who in the past year has provided continuous, valued support and assistance to their local swimming club.
To be eligible for this award the recipient must be a current member of the Telstra Dolphins Squad and be nominated by their swimming club.
This award winner would have selflessly given their time to the swimming club and club members, whether by promoting club activities or by being a good role model for other club members.
Award: The winner will receive a trophy and $2000 for their swimming club. This award will be selected by a selection panel and will be based on received nominations.
