Swimming Victoria is thrilled to announce David Parkin as its keynote speaker for the 2012 Club Development Conference.

One of the most respected motivational speakers in Australia – Parkin has an exceptional understanding of motivation, leadership and teamwork.

Parkin will be familiar to some because of his accomplishments as a football player, coach and corporate Director. He captained Hawthorn Football Club, coached at the Hawthorn and Carlton Football Clubs, is regarded as one of the super-coaches of the 70's and 80's, and was the Director of Football at Hawthorn from 2000-2002.

He is also well known for his academic achievements; including developing and lecturing in Sports and Exercise Science at Deakin University, achieving a Bachelor of Education from the University of Western Australia and writing and publishing more than a dozen books.

Parkin’s extensive experience in a variety of sporting organisations gives him the ability to relate to club volunteers. Attendees at the Club Development Conference are sure to be inspired!

Parkin will speak at the beginning of the Conference before development workshops begin. Registrations are now open for the 2012 Club Development Conference. Places are limited, and it is free to register, so get in quick!
